At just
18 years old I was fortunate to land a job at Warner Bros. Studios.
I spent quite a few years there which would change my life forever.
I started in the mailroom, then went to the Television Story Dept
and eventually in to the editorial/trailer dept. The years I spent there
were invaluable. I realized very quickly the beauty and excitement
of film making and importance of film editing. Getting the action
and the best and most beautiful imagery in the camera is first and
foremost always, but the editing room is where the story truly comes
to life. That holds true with still photography as well. Fine tuning
images in Photoshop is a wondrous and extremely helpful and creative
method of expression.
Working in the motion picture
industry and wearing a few different hats completely inspired many
dreams and gave me a deep and satisfying experience that has formed
my perspective regarding photography, film and music. There were
the consummate professionals
in all the fields that I was able to stand next to, work withand
learn from. These very talented people loved to share their wisdom
and skillful approach to all these amazing art forms.
I was in
the best film school that life had to offer at that time. All
the while I continued to study the art and craft of many of amazing
photographers and film makers whom I felt resonated with my personal
vision. As you can see from my portfolio that I appreciate a variety
of subject matter. To some this is a curse but to me it’s
the “spice of life.” I’ve primarily shot
in and around the television and music industries. This requires
versatility and the ability to create on the fly in a very small
amount of time.
I love and embrace the exciting world
of Digital Photography-Video and Music. It’s always been very clear
to me that music can evoke an image in ones mind. As well as a
film without music is like a “bird without wings’.
This has been obvious to me since my first view of the cinema and
television as a youngster. The possibilities are very exciting
to me. I feel so blessed to be a part of this world. I hope
that these images render somewhat of an emotional response for
you too.
Thank you again for taking a look and listening,
